Growth and Acquisition Manager
Reports to: Head of Marketing & Brand
Summary
As Growth & Acquisition Manager you will be responsible for driving new customer acquisitions and expanding brand awareness across our direct-to-consumer health supplement brands. Reporting to our Head of Marketing & Brand, this role spans multi-channel marketing strategies, managing a small team to execute initiatives that boost customer engagement and acquisition through targeted campaigns. This is a key new position within the business, perfect for an ambitious, data-driven individual with a passion for growing a direct-to-consumer business.
Responsibilities
Growth strategy and execution
- Develop and implement growth strategies to drive customer acquisition and revenue.
- Tailor acquisition campaigns through customer segmentation, targeting high-value segments across diverse demographics.
- Leverage digital and traditional marketing tactics, including paid search, social media, display advertising, influencer partnerships, direct mail and print to drive awareness and acquisitions.
- Manage acquisition budgets, ensuring efficient spending and optimal ROI to maximise growth.
- Optimise acquisition efforts specifically for our subscription-based products, leveraging expertise in subscription marketing to increase recurring customer sign ups.
- Analyse data and market trends to adjust strategies that improve subscription retention and maximise customer lifetime value.
- Identify and evaluate offline marketing opportunities e.g. partnerships, PR (in collaboration with the PR Manager) and out-of-home, to enhance brand reach.
Brand awareness
- Lead brand awareness campaigns to increase visibility in target demographics and strengthen loyalty.
- Collaborate with creative teams to maintain cohesive brand messaging and representation across all acquisition channels.
Team and agency management
- Manage and mentor a small team, providing direction, setting goals and fostering a growth-oriented environment.
- Encourage innovation, collaboration and professional development.
- Work with third-party digital and print agencies to maximise acquisition performance.
Data-driven decision making
- Use analytics tools to track channel performance, setting KPIs and evaluating campaign effectiveness.
- Conduct regular analyses to adjust acquisition strategies, test new channels and implement data-backed improvements.
- Use A/B testing and audience targeting experiments to optimise acquisition outcomes and conversion rates.
- Responsible for reporting on acquisition performance metrics such as CAC, LTV, ROI, NPS.
Stakeholder collaboration
- Work closely with the Head of Marketing & Brand, product, ecommerce, CRM and retention teams to align acquisition strategies with business goals and enhance the customer journey.
- Work with creative and content teams to develop effective campaign assets that align with brand voice.
- Support the marketing team with product launches, promotions and campaigns.
- Work closely with the Head of Marketing & Brand and Senior Insights Analyst to conduct market research and competitor analysis.
Required skills and experience
- Five or more years in a similar role in growth or acquisition marketing, ideally within a subscription-based, direct-to-consumer, health or wellness brand.
- Hands-on experience with paid digital channels (e.g. Google Ads, Facebook Ads, programmatic advertising) and offline marketing channels (e.g. print advertising, direct mail).
- Proficiency in data analytics and performance tracking, including analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) and A/B testing and CRO tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a customer-first mindset and proven track record of driving growth.
- Experience leading and developing a small team.
- Deep understanding of consumer behaviour, customer acquisition funnels and experience in optimising user journeys.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork.
- Curious, innovative and willing to experiment with growth marketing.

Desirable skills and experience
- Experience growing a subscription-based, direct-to-consumer business in the UK.
- Knowledge of the health and wellness industry.
- Familiarity with ecommerce platforms (e.g. Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento).
